The World Mission Society Church of God conducted a clean-up campaign on March 4 and around 60 people participated in this activity including provincial officers. This Church has been performing clean-up campaigns in 2,200 areas in 150 countries around the world in ahead of the Passover to save the earth getting sick from environmental pollution.

As part of “Celebration of the Sacred Birth of God Ahnsahnghong & Preparation of 2012 Passover Assembly,” these activities will be held globally until early April. The Church of God said that the purpose of this clean-up movement was to practice the love of the Passover of the New Covenant restored by the Second Coming Jesus Ahnsahnghong for salvation of mankind, and to cause the Cambodian people to be aware of the seriousness of global warming and environmental pollution. The campaign has attracted interest and participation of many people to spread the way to save lives in times of disaster.

The Church of God has hosted the Worldwide Clean-up Campaign annually before the Passover. The total number of the clean-up campaigns carried out from 2001 to January 2012, not including small-scale campaigns which have not been counted, amounts to as many as 1,272.On the average, more than 100 activities have been held every year. The activities contribute to change environmental awareness of the world as well as to make the polluted Earth clean.

The Passover, which falls on April 5 this year, is an important feast of God because through this feast we can be protected from disasters and have the promise of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. The Church of God said, “We hope that people will keep the Passover and become the children of God to receive the blessings and the gift of salvation by cleaning up our mind as well as the environment of the earth.”

“The Clean-up Campaign by the World Mission Society is really a good activity,” said Provincial Officer Uti, who participated in the event. “I am very glad to cooperate with a clean-up activity by participating in it as a Provincial Officer.” Also, he added, “This campaign becomes a good example which would promote residents to join the campaign to stop dumping wastes into fields and farmland and to make the environment clean.”

The 1304th Worldwide Clean-up Campaign of the World Mission Society Church of God was held in the area of SvayPao, Battambang in the morning, March 4. The Church of God practices the love of the Passover which contains the love and sacrifice of God through various volunteering services.

A small church participates in various activities

Wilmersdorf. If the members of the World Mission Society Church of God call to action in Wexstrasse 27, it leads to a worldwide activity.

So will it be on March 11, when an environmental clean-up action will take place in as many as 1,900 cities in more than 150 countries around the world. While the clean-up campaign was carried out around the Federal Court in Berlin last year, the area near the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall) will be cleaned up this year. If you want to participate in this campaign, you can come to the Station Hackescher Markt by1:00 PM

Also, the World Mission Society Church of God has been engaged in blood donations from all over the world. The Church of God in Wilmersdorf conducted its first blood drive in Germany.
On January 30, about 60 citizens responded to the campaign and donated blood at the Haema Blood Donation Center. This Church plans to repeat this activity in April by following the appeal of DanielBahr, the Minister of Health of the Federal Republic of Germany and member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), who has called for blood donations.

Deacon Julian George explained the blood donation metaphysically saying: “Jesus Christ gave eternal life through the blood on the cross 2,000 years ago. We can give life to other people by donating blood.”

The blood drive, which was conducted in front of the blood donation center in the evening of this day, attracted the attention of many passers-by and some of them like Wilhelm Gebelein joined the campaign voluntarily.

Pastor Byeongho Lee personally gave thanks to the participants, standing next to the blood donation vehicle. There were many Church members who donated blood for the first time like Laura Rein. Smiling, she allowed Erick Lehmann, Haema employee, to insert the needle.

Conrad Strathausen, theological student, was somewhat excited at his first blood donation and said, “God did not hesitate to shed His blood for us, so there is no hesitation for me.” The vouchers and the allowances of blood donation are to be donated by the Church of God for charitable purposes.
The World Mission Society Church of God was founded by Ahnsahnghong-nim in Korea in 1964. It has around 2,000 Churches in 150 countries around the world and the total number of the registered Church members amounts to 1.6 million. This Church attracted the attention of the world when it held Charity Concert for Haiti Earthquake Victims. After the Concert, the outcome of US$100,000 was handed over to the United Nations. Since then, the Church of God has worked directly with the United Nations Headquarters. In 2011, it was honored by the U.S. President Barack Obama for its volunteering work.

Reported at LA PRENSA DE MOQUEGUA on March 19, 2013

Global clean-up campaign to heal the sick earth is held simultaneously in 150 countries including Korea. It’s “Worldwide Environmental Clean-up Campaign for the Passover 2013,” conducted by the World Mission Society Church of God.
The Church explained that the purpose of this activity was to inform the communities about the severity of the global warming and environmental contamination and attract their participation in the campaigns in order to protect the lives of neighbors of the global village from natural disasters.
The clean-up campaign will take place in various locations including mountains, rivers, oceans, parks, historical sites, streets and schools, considering regional characteristics and needs of each country.
The campaign is to be conducted in cooperation with governmental offices, district municipalities, provincial, regional or public community centers. It is expected that it will draw the attention of people towards the environment and environmental pollution.
The Church of God has paid particular attention to the environmental protection, which is home for mankind. It has been conducting clean-up activities in mountains, rivers, seas, beaches, streams, park, streets, etc. Last weekend, they cleaned up the beaches of ILO, which helped keep the environment clean.
FACT.
The Church has carried out 1,272 clean-up campaigns for more than a decade from January 2001 to 2012, excluding small-scale campaigns which have not been taken account of.
